FYI 883 - Langford Heathfield Nature Reserve
We are often told (correctly, if somewhat ideologically), that geocaches should take us to somewhere "interesting", and not simply be placed just for the sake of it. The aim of this series is to try and adhere to this ideal by basing caches around details given on an Interpretation Board about the area in which it is situated. By definition, it is hoped that this information will be "interesting", and will help the cacher discover things about the area that would often not be revealed by a traditional cache.
First you will need to go to the Posted Coords that will take you to an information Board. You will need to collect some info and do some simple maths which will give you the correct coords to find the cache.
# Langford Heathfield Nature Reserve is a 22A acre (B1.6 hectare) Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Next, reading the Information Board, find the number of letters in the missing word, this will give you the rest of your info!
Butterfly
# Silver Washed (number of letters =CD).

Lizard
# (number of letters =E) Lizard.

Plant 1
# (number of letters =F) Spotted Orchid.

Plant 2
# Devil's (number of letters =G) Scabious.

Horse
# (number of letters =H) Ponies
By now you should have all the info that you need!
Checksum A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H =38
The cache can be found at: N 50 (H-G)(H+C).(D+E+C)(G+G)(B-A+C) W 003 (E-F)(G+G).(E-G)(H+C)(D+G+C)
Hope you find the cache! Happy Caching!
When finding the cache, be careful of the busy road!
