FMAD #30 – Ilha (Santana)
A FREGUESIA:
Ilha é uma freguesia portuguesa do município de Santana, com 15,00 km² de área e 255 habitantes (2011). A sua densidade populacional é 17 hab/km². A actividade principal da população é a agricultura. Esta freguesia foi criada em 1989, sendo até então um lugar da freguesia de São Jorge. Esta freguesia possui centro de saúde, centro cívico e igreja. Cerca de dois terços da freguesia situam-se dentro da Floresta Laurissilva.
A SÉRIE DE CACHES FMAD:
O "FMAD" (Freguesias da MADeira) é composto de 54 caches tradicionais distribuídas uma por cada freguesia da Madeira e Porto Santo.
O objetivo deste grupo de caches é proporcionar uma visita a todas as freguesias da Madeira em Geocaching com um índice de terreno e de dificuldade muito acessíveis, escolhendo locais maioritariamente com uma agradável vista, numa perspetiva de abrangência à maioria dos geocachers.
O tipo de caches é variado. Esperamos que gostem e principalmente divirtam-se
Alguns conselhos:
- Procurem estacionar sempre em segurança;
- Deixem a cache sempre bem escondida e protegida;
- Devido ao longo percurso deste “FMAD” é aconselhável reparti-lo por vários dias;
- Levem sempre material de escrita;
- Aproveitem para fazer outras caches nas várias localidades da ilha da Madeira que vão visitando e divirtam-se.

Este novo projeto vem complementar as caches do Projeto TAMI. Também agradecemos a sugestão dada pelo geocacher César Davide e ao Team_CCCC para este projeto, que demarcasse e mostrasse as freguesias da Madeira, e pela colaboração estreita do Team_CCCC na colocação e manutenção da cache no Porto Santo.

THE PARISH:
Ilha is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Santana, with an area of 15.00 km² and 255 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 17 inhabitants/km². The main activity of the population is agriculture. This parish was created in 1989, and until then was a place in the parish of São Jorge. This parish has a health center, civic center and church. Around two thirds of the parish is located within the Laurissilva Forest.
THE "FMAD" CACHE SERIES:
The "FMAD" (Freguesias da MADeira) is made up of 54 traditional caches distributed one for each parish in Madeira and Porto Santo..
The objective of this group of caches is to visit all the parish of island of Madeira and Porto Santo in geocaching with a low-level terrain and difficulty , choosing mostly nice views, giving opportunity to almost all geocachers and their families.
The type of caches is varied. We hope you enjoy and mainly have fun
Some advice:
- Always try to park safely;
. Let the cache always well hidden and protected;
- Due to the long journey of this "FMAD" it is advisable to divide it up for several days;
- Always bring writing material;
- Take the opportunity to do other caches at various locations on the island of Madeira that you will visit and have lots of fun.
Any help is always appreciated, if the container has been lost or damaged and the logbook is full or wet. Thank you.
This new project complements the TAMI caches. We are also grateful for the suggestion given by geocacher César Davide and Team_CCCC for this project, which demarcated and showcased the parishes of Madeira, and for the close collaboration of Team_CCCC in placing and maintaining the cache in Porto Santo.
