The Association of NS Geocaching invites you to join us at Graves Island Provincial Park for a tribute to
Canada's First Geocache GCBBA (GC41)
& Cache Owner, Eastriver ( aka Ken Kane).
Ken will be our host, on hand to reveal the GCBBA "ammo can" time capsule.
All participants will have an opportunity to add to a new time capsule!
Registration begins at 11 AM
Enjoy the lovely trails in the Park, Visit the Stone Monument and Virtual. There are several caches and Adventure lab points in the Park.
A time to meet new cachers or catch up with geo friends!
Cachers are encouraged to sign the log and put in any comments in the Event Log which will be buried in the Time Capsule.
There will be a "Closest to the Stick Contest".
Participants are encouraged to place a Popsicle Stick (provided) with their name on it at a given Lat & Long. Closest to the given co-ords wins a prize.
A free BBQ from 12-2 PM
For those who have Hiking Sticks made by eastriver there will be a "reunion" at 2:30PM.
Time Capsule burial near the Stone Monument & Group Picture 3 PM
3:30 PM Game(s) & "Door Prize" winners announced!.
L'Association de géocaching de la Nouvelle-Écosse vous invite à nous rejoindre au parc provincial de Graves Island pour un hommage au
Premier géocache du Canada, GCBBA (GC41) et au propriétaire de la cache, Eastriver (alias Ken Kane).
Ken sera notre hôte et sera sur place pour dévoiler la capsule temporelle « boîte de munitions » de la GCCBA.
Tous les participants auront l'occasion d'ajouter des éléments à une nouvelle capsule temporelle !
There will be a BBQ lunch, games and prizes!
The park has a nice hiking trail with water views.
Parking areas will be posted on site.
