Puarenga Stream
WHAT: We will be helping the Council with a planting within a riparian margin of the Puarenga Stream. The area (around the lublished coordinates) will be prepared for us, and there will be 600 plants waiting to be planted.
WHERE: Puarenga Stream, along the true right of the stream, just downstream from the old DOC office (99 Sala Street, Whakarewarewa)
WHEN: From 8:30am until midday or when all of the plants have been planted.
PARKING: There is very limited parking at the old DOC office at 99 Sala St. Alternative parking can be found on Titokorangi Drive/Longmile Rd (Redwoods)
BRING: Closed footwear only - no sandals, jandals or crocs. This is a safety requirement. Gloves, spades and planmts will be required.
What you will be asked to do in order to log attendance for this CITO will be to plant at least one plant within the planting area. Council representatives will be present along with our own team lead by SignofTheSeaHorse (Logan) along with his taller assistant Riser5 (Nick). They will direct you as to what you need to do.
