Fast 5 Jahre nach der Rettung aus dem Torrent sind wir noch einmal an den Ort des Unfalls zurück gekommen um mit den Geschehnissen abzuschliessen und zur Erinnerung einen Cache zu deponieren. Unser Dank gilt den unbekannten Helfern vor Ort, der Guardia Civil, dem ADAC und vor allem den Männern der Bombeiros, die eine wirklich filmreife Rettungsaktion vollbracht haben.
Hier ein Bericht der Ereignisse:
Am 28.5. 2019 trafen wir uns am frühen Morgen am Aussichtspunkt oberhalb von Sa Calobra zum ersten mal mit einer Cacherin, die wir als Wanderpartnerin für das Abenteuer "Torrent de Pareis " (GCPD5E) gefunden hatten. Die Tour nicht nur zu zweit anzugehen erwies sich später als eine kluge Entscheidung.
Die Chemie zwischen uns stimmte vom ersten Augenblick. Sobald ein Auto am Ziel geparkt war ging es mit dem zweiten zum Einstiegspunkt in den Torrent. Die erste Station war schnell gefunden, aber dann verpassten wir eine Abzweigung und wählten gemeinsam mit einem Pärchen, dem es genauso erging, den direkten Weg Richtung Station 2. Dank Klettererfahrung und guter Ausrüstung war das kein Problem. Weiter ging es hinunter, zu Station 3 und dann durch den Torrent. Was für ein Erlebnis! Die atemberaubenden Eindrücke nahmen kein Ende. Aber dann, kurz vorm Ziel....
Wir mussten nur noch eine einzige Felsbarierre überwinden, auf der anderen Seite des kleinen Sees in der Mitte tummelten sich schon die Touristen die von der Meerseite kamen. Da geschah das Unglück. Herr Hase (PapaSchnecke) verfing sich mit seinem Wanderschuh in einer Pflanze, stürzte unglücklich und verletzte sich so schwer an Knie und Arm, das er aus eigener Kraft den Weg nicht beenden konnte.
Unsere Begleiterin und einige Helfer, die in der Nähe waren, liefen los um die Bergrettung und den Helikopter zu rufen, nach gut 11/2 Stunden konnte er endlich ins Krankenhaus nach Palma geflogen werden, wo die Erstversorgung geschah. Der ADAC organisierte den Rücktransport nach Deutschland, es folgten zwei Operationen, Krankenhaus und die Reha.
Im Sommer 2020 konnte er schon wieder eine Alpenüberquerung zu Fuß bewältigen und ist heute wieder völlig genesen.
Der Cache liegt, von der Meerseite kommend, auf der rechten Seite der Schlucht. Um dorthin zu gelangen, haltet euch zunächst links und quert dann auf Höhe des Baums (Spoiler) die Schlucht. Es ist ein wenig Kletterei erforderlich, ausser vernünftigem Schuhwerk und etwas Erfahrung ist aber keine spezielle Ausrüstung erforderlich. Geht den Cache nur an, wenn ihr sicher seit, die Hindernisse überwinden zu können. Kein Cache ist es wert, seine Gesundheit aufs Spiel zu setzen. Der Cache liegt etwa in Hüfthöhe in einem kleinen Vorsprung direkt an der Felswand.
Casi 5 años después del rescate del torrente, regresamos al lugar del accidente para afrontar los hechos y depositar un caché a modo de recordatorio. Nuestro agradecimiento a los socorristas desconocidos que se encontraban en el lugar, a la Guardia Civil, al ADAC y, sobre todo, a los hombres de los Bombeiros, que llevaron a cabo una operación de rescate digna de una película.

El 28 de mayo En 2019 nos encontramos por primera vez a primera hora de la mañana en el mirador de Sa Calobra con un cacher que habíamos encontrado como compañero de senderismo para la aventura del "Torrent de Pareis" (GCPD5E). Más tarde, hacer la gira con algo más que nosotros dos resultó ser una decisión acertada.
La química entre nosotros fue acertada desde el primer momento. Tan pronto como un automóvil estuvo estacionado en el lugar de destino, el segundo se dirigió a la entrada al torrente. Rápidamente encontramos la primera estación, pero luego perdimos un desvío y, junto con una pareja que tuvo la misma experiencia, elegimos la ruta directa hacia la estación 2. Gracias a la experiencia de escalada y al buen equipo, esto no fue un problema. Seguimos bajando hasta la estación 3 y luego por el torrente. ¡Que experiencia! Las impresionantes impresiones nunca terminaron. Pero entonces, justo antes de la meta...
Sólo tuvimos que superar una barrera de roca, al otro lado del pequeño lago en el medio ya había turistas que venían del lado del mar. Entonces ocurrió la desgracia. Al señor Conejo (PapaSchnecke) se le atascó la bota de montaña en una planta, sufrió una desafortunada caída y se lastimó tanto la rodilla como el brazo que no pudo completar el camino por sí solo.
Nuestro compañero y algunos ayudantes que estaban cerca corrieron a llamar al rescate de montaña y al helicóptero, después de una buena hora y media finalmente lo llevaron en avión al hospital de Palma, donde le dieron los primeros cuidados. El ADAC organizó el transporte de regreso a Alemania, seguido de dos operaciones, hospitalización y rehabilitación.
En el verano de 2020 pudo volver a cruzar los Alpes a pie y ya está totalmente recuperado.
Viniendo del lado del mar, el caché se encuentra en el lado derecho del desfiladero. Para llegar allí, primero manténgase a la izquierda y luego cruce el desfiladero al nivel del árbol (spoiler). Se requiere un poco de escalada, pero no se requiere ningún equipo especial más que calzado adecuado y algo de experiencia. Acércate al caché solo si estás seguro de que puedes superar los obstáculos. Ningún caché merece la pena arriesgar tu salud. El caché está ubicado a la altura de la cintura en una pequeña repisa directamente en la pared rocosa
Almost 5 years after the rescue from the torrent, we returned to the scene of the accident to come to terms with the events and to deposit a cache as a reminder. Our thanks go to the unknown helpers on site, the Guardia Civil, the ADAC and, above all, the men of the Bombeiros, who carried out a truly cinematic rescue operation.

On May 28th In 2019, we met for the first time early in the morning at the viewpoint above Sa Calobra with a cacher who we had found as a hiking partner for the "Torrent de Pareis" (GCPD5E) adventure. Going on the tour with more than just the two of us later turned out to be a wise decision.
The chemistry between us was right from the first moment. As soon as one car was parked at the destination, the second car went to the entry point into the torrent. The first station was quickly found, but then we missed a turn-off and, together with a couple who had the same experience, chose the direct route towards station 2. Thanks to climbing experience and good equipment, this wasn't a problem. We continued down to station 3 and then through the torrent. What an experience! The breathtaking impressions never ended. But then, just before the goal...
We only had to overcome a single rock barrier; on the other side of the small lake in the middle there were already tourists coming from the sea side. Then the misfortune happened. Mr. Rabbit (PapaSchnecke) got his hiking boot caught in a plant, had an unfortunate fall and injured his knee and arm so badly that he was unable to complete the path on his own.
Our companion and a few helpers who were nearby ran to call the mountain rescue and the helicopter, after a good 11/2 hours he was finally flown to the hospital in Palma, where initial care was given. The ADAC organized the transport back to Germany, followed by two operations, hospital and rehabilitation.
In the summer of 2020 he was able to cross the Alps on foot again and is now fully recovered.
Coming from the sea side, the cache is on the right side of the gorge. To get there, first keep left and then cross the gorge at the level of the tree (spoiler). A bit of climbing is required, but no special equipment is required other than sensible footwear and some experience. Only approach the cache if you are sure you can overcome the obstacles. No cache is worth risking your health. The cache is located about waist height in a small ledge directly on the rock face.
