Last Chunk of the Elephant here? - Wellington CITO
As the saying goes, "How do you eat an elephant? - one bite at a time..." that's our approach to tackling the massive amount of invasives here. We're making progress, and the City of Port Coquitlam thinks only one more bite is required to get this area here done. We are doing one last sweep at this location before we start PLANTING!!!! (Don't worry, there's lots to do on other sections of the park!)
Find me at the table at Wellington Park as the City of Port Coquitlam has us continue to do some invasive plant removal... We have been given this park to continue to work on clearing! Awesome! This will be the fourteenth trip to this park to help continue to eradicate the invasive ivy, blackberry, lamium and holly. We will concentrate on the Southern area between Patricia Ave and the Trans-Canada trail for this CITO. Last clear out before PLANTING!
Afterwards, feel free to stick around at the edge of the CITO for a Postcards from the Edge event... And if you want, come to the pub for a burger after that.
