Santes Fair
Another Church Micro multi-cache, but this one has a twist. To find this cache you will need a special tool. Read on for more detail...
Llanfair-is-gaer is a small parish on the shores of the Menai. It's rather unique in that the major town lies some distance away from the original church, a result of the slate industry and associated development at Port Dinorwic, now Y Felinheli.
The churchyard contains some interesting pre-victorian gravestones and an ancient Yew tree, likely much older than the church itself. The presence of this Yew may explain why the church is found where it is. Early Christians were known to build churches in sacred pagan Yew groves to encourage conversion to Christianity. This Yew also has a fascinating form given the way it has adapted to live with the salty wind that rushes up from across the Menai.
To find this cache, you'll need the ability to read NFC tags. Don't worry, no contactless payments are needed! The posted coordinates and hint will guide you to the first stage. No part of this cache is hidden in the churchyard, as such, you may want to check the tide is out before attempting...
