Let's meet for a hike and some geo-chat!
When: Saturday, May 3rd @ 1pm to 1:30pm
Where: Lewis & Clark State Park North Trail
Why: For the fifth year, the North Dakota Park & Recreation Department (NDPRD) has issued a statewide “12 Months – 12 Hikes” challenge.
The 2025 Hiking Challenge returns on the OuterSpatial App this year! Check-in, track your progress, connect with fellow hikers, and compete for a spot at the top of the leaderboard. Earn digital badges as you go, and every hike you check in for will enter you into a gift card drawing at the end of the year. Join us in making 2025 a year of exploring North Dakota's trails!
The North Dakota Geocaching Association (NDGCA) would like to help everyone complete their hiking challenge and climb the leaderboard. To do this, we will be hosting an event in a different state park each month, so we can get together with other geocachers and hike.
What: We will meet and chat a little before hiking the North Trail system, leaving to hike by 1:30pm; we can hike for as long as you'd like - looping around the campground, playing at the playgrounds, finding a geocache or two - wherever the trail leads us!
Reminders: A daily pass ($7) or annual ND state park pass ($35) is required to enter. Dress for the weather/trails - boots and layers!
