When attending the UNE back in the late 1970s for vacation schools, I sussed out quite a few cafes and restaurants in Armidale itself, but Uralla was just that little bit "out of town".
So I was a bit blown away when reading about the modern day Uralla, and its wonderful array of cafes and restaurants, but only a couple catered for gluten free, a special requirement for Mrs RoddyC, aka caching name hatzofff. So I chose one of them.
I am also keen to set time aside whilst on our geocaching journey south, to meet up with any locals in the Uralla and Armidale areas, or even a cacher travelling through while we are staying a few days in Uralla.
So let's meet at:
The Alternate Root, 48 Bridge St, between 12 noon and 1 pm on Wednesday, 18th June.
We'll be having lunch, and you are welcome to join us, but that is not an obligation. Just pop in and say hello if you wish.
We'll be the couple wearing Maroon shirts
