Hello cachers! Since publishing this event, I've learned there is going to be a paid kids obstacle course all weekend in Westport Park. I am moving the event because I don't know if we will be able to access this area, and I think Westport Park is going to be chaotic.
New coords are S 31° 25.712' E 152° 54.454, which is an area with seats in front of Chop N Chill closer to downtown. I think this will be better than the traffic and noise resulting from the obstacle course event. Otherwise, everything else remains the same. Looking forward to seeing everyone and the geodogs!
Westport Park has great people watching and nice views of the river. We are located right next door in the marina for at least a few more weeks.
The area indicated has a few picnic tables, some covered for shade and rain protection, and some offering sun. I'll arrive early to secure us a table.
Ample parking is available nearby, and there are several good cafes if you want to get a coffee or snack to bring with you. Feel free to bring your dogs if you have them. We'd love to meet them.
