Kooky’s Lost Tentacle (A Cache Poem)

Deep in the sea lives a Kraken named Kooky,
He’s wobbly, he’s silly, he’s charmingly spooky.
While dancing one day with a splash and a spin,
POP! went a tentacle — oh, what a yin!

He’s searched through the kelp, the reefs, and the sand,

Even asked dolphins to lend him a hand.

But the tentacle’s missing, it drifted away,
And now he needs geocachers to save the day!

So follow the coords’, explore every nook,

Find what was lost, and help out poor Kook’.

When you find the stray tentacle stuck to a bin,

“It’s not calamari” you’ll say with a grin.

But how to retrieve the Stray, you ask?
Release - unwind, TOTT for tentacle task!
The Quest is completed, sign log / leave your mark.
Kooky reads logs well into the dark.

This adventure has come to a wonderful end,
You’ve helped our dear Kraken feel whole once again!
The stamp is NOT swag, it stays in the cache,
Bring your own ink, (pen or dye pad).
You've found me cache in the strangest of seas,
A treasure that tickles the fishes and bees.
Please return it as found, that's all that I ask,
Or Kooky, the Kraken, will take you to task!
Placed with permission.
