- Het Verhaal
Ergens tussen de velden, weg van de bewoonde wereld, ligt het vredige Smurfendorp. Gargamel is al jaren niet meer in de buurt gespot en de Smurfen leefden een rustig leven. Tot er op de eerste zaterdag van april een luidruchtig gevaar in het omgeving opdook: De HOPmaniak!
Deze doorgedraaide ambachtelijke LKO* bierbrouwer is volledig geobsedeerd door het brouwen van de ultieme, bittere IPA. Hij struint dag en nacht met zijn brouwketel en koperen leidingen door de velden, op zoek naar de meest zeldzame hopsoorten ter wereld.
Op een bewolkte dinsdag rook de HOPmaniak een onbekende, magische zoet-bittere geur. Het was Grote Smurf, die in het geheim de uiterst zeldzame Blauwe Smurfenhop aan het oogsten was voor het jaarlijkse Smurfenfeest. De HOPmaniak werd wild! Hij móést en zou die hop hebben voor zijn nieuwste brouwsel.
Om hun kostbare oogst uit de klauwen van deze waanzinnige brouwer te houden, hebben de Smurfen de Blauwe Hop samen met het logboek veilig opgeborgen op een geheime locatie.
- De Missie
Het is aan jou, moedige geocacher, om de voorraad van de Smurfen te vinden voordat de HOPmaniak dat doet. Ga naar het nulpunt, maar wees op je hoede! Als je de geur van mout en hoppige IPA's ruikt, is de Hopmaniak misschien wel in de buurt...
Ga jij mee verdwalen? Ik weet de weg!

- Praktische Informatie:
- Stealth: Log onopvallend. Er lopen hier regelmatig (mini) campingdreuzels, (en wellicht een "verdwaalde" Hopmaniak).
- Terugplaatsen: Sluit de cache na het loggen weer precies zoals je hem hebt gevonden, zodat Grote Smurf tevreden is
- Ruilmiddelen: Er is ruimte voor kleine goodies en trackables (bij voorkeur in Smurfen- of bierthema!)..
- Parkeren: Dit kan gelijk naast de cache, (indien er plek is), het is niet nodig verder het terrein op de gaan. (of je moet er kamperen).
- NB: Hou de cache netjes, dan blijft hij het langst in leven.

- The Story
Somewhere among the fields, far from civilization, lies the peaceful Smurf Village. Gargamel hasn't been spotted in the area for years, and the Smurfs lived a quiet life. Until, on the first Saturday of April, a noisy danger appeared in the vicinity: The HOPmaniak!
This deranged artisan SLI* beer brewer is completely obsessed with brewing the ultimate, bitter IPA. He roams the fields day and night with his brewing kettle and copper pipes, searching for the rarest hop varieties in the world.
On a cloudy Tuesday, the HOPmaniak smelled an unknown, magical sweet-bitter scent. It was Papa Smurf, secretly harvesting the extremely rare Blue Smurf hops for the annual Smurf Festival. The HOPmaniak went wild! He absolutely had to have those hops for his latest brew. To keep their precious harvest out of the clutches of this insane brewer, the Smurfs have safely stored the Blue Hops along with the logbook in a secret location.
- The Mission
It is up to you, brave geocacher, to find the Smurfs' stash before the HOPmaniak does. Head to the zero point, but be on your guard! If you smell the scent of malt and hoppy IPAs, the HOPmaniak might just be nearby...

- Practical Information:
- Stealth: Log discreetly. (Mini) camping muggles regularly walk around here (and perhaps a "stray" Hop Maniac).
- Replace: After logging, close the cache exactly as you found it, so that Papa Smurf is satisfied. Trade items: There is room for small goodies and trackables (preferably Smurf or beer-themed!).
- Parking: You can park right next to the cache (if there is space); it is not necessary to go further onto the grounds (unless you are camping).
- Keep the cache tidy, and it will last the longest.
