Bear and I are super lucky to live where we do. Just a few hundred metres up the road. Most days we walk here with our Pup, Wicky, and then walk along the beach to Bellambi Point. Sometimes more than once each day. It would be easy to take for granted just how lucky we are to call this place home. But then we take a moment, to remember. We watch the tides come and go, the lagoon open and close, the sand dunes disappear and reappear. East coast lows. King tides. We watch the passage of time, through the prism of our little slice of heaven.
There's a lot of bird life to see just here. The day before placing the cache a Kookaburra was so close to me I could have touched it. As I placed this cache three yellow-tailed black cockatoos were feeding overhead. Once we saw a white-bellied sea eagle so close that I thought it would eat Wicky for a morning snack!
We hope that you enjoyed your visit as much as we enjoy calling this place home.
