Poppy community garden is a voluteer lead project that opened in June 2022. Since then volunteers have worked to turn a area of overgrown brambles into a beutiful garden. The garden has already won many RHS awards and this year won In the “It’s Your Community” category, we not only won GOLD, but were also crowned champions of the group!
This spring the garden needs help with making a great start to another year of improving the area for the community. The main areas of work will be.
Planting wildflower pugs.
Rotovating some areas for wildflower seeds to be sown.
litter picking around the local area.
Bramble removal .
Tools and gloves can be provided but if you have gloves please bring them.
times will be
10am till 10.45 meet and greet with a cup of tea or coffee
11am till 13.00 Session A
13.00 till 13.30 Tea and cake
13.30 till 14.30 session B
