LOCATION: The Foundry, Bell Lane, Brecon, LD3 9EE
The South Wales Annual Event is back in Brecon. Some of the first geoocaches I found were set around this town for the 2013 South Wales Geocaching Event and I don't believe this event has been here since. I am happy to be proven wrong!!!
Now you have all got you're tents, caravans and motorhomes pitched, make you way down into Brecon. Come and get to know your fellow geocachers, renew aquaintances and make new friends. Everyone is welcome (campers and non-campers) and there is no need to buy anything. There is a full bar and there will be some food available. At the time of writing they are changing their menu and the owner was not able to say what would be available. This event ends at 8pm but you are welcome to stay as long as you like and listen to free live music from 8.30pm.
There are various parking locations not too far from The Foundry which are free after 6pm and limited street parking in Ship Street and Market Street.
There will be other events from 1st to 4th May (Flashmob, the main social, etc) and geocaches released. Whatch this space!
Camping has been reserved near Brecon. If you would like to camp/caravan/motorhome please message me for details. Pitches have been reserved until 26th February. After that you will have to compete with Joe Public. I will provide the link to the campsite in the comments after that date.
