I've found some amazing homemade traditional and gadget caches both locally and abroad and am drawing inspiration from those to make and place my own. Some I've already placed; others are in build. I thought it would be great to have an event themed around creative homemade traditional and gadget caches.
This event will have something for everybody, from providing ideas and inspiration for seasoned cache builders, an opportunity to get feedback on cache designs, through to instruction and guidance on making and placing caches for those wanting to do their own.

The Monkey Puzzle Pub has ample parking although you will need to validate your parking when entering the Pub. It is a Brewers Fayre and has an extensive Pub style menu. Thanks to ReggieCat, as he helped reserve the large room at the back of the pub for our exclusive use.
We’re going to have three areas, “Inspirational Caches”, “Show and Tell” and “Cache Building”, supported by some exceptional cache builders, VR7, WhatRobot and others.
Inspirational caches – A computer and screen for sharing pictures of some of the best caches people have found. If you’ve found some exceptional caches, have pictures and are willing to share them, send them to me or bring them along and we’ll add them to the collection. Share your experience with the caches and inspire others to build their own or take their designs to the next level.
Show and tell – An opportunity to share and discuss your ideas for new caches or bring in your own caches and get feedback from people. I’ll have a couple of traditional caches and gadget caches that would be great to get peoples feedback on before they are released. Feel free to bring in your own. We’ll also have some exceptional cache builders who will tell us about building natural caches, 3D printed caches and more.
Cache building – There will be instructions, tips and techniques, materials and people on hand to help teach people how to design, build and place caches. We’ll have designs for magnetic caches, grass caches, bird box caches and more. If you’ve got your own cache designs that you want to teach people how to build, feel free to bring them in.
The event is open to ALL cachers, if you have not been to an Event Cache before, then do please feel free to come along. We’re a friendly bunch, and it's always good to see new cachers.
Please leave a 'Will Attend' note on the cache page so we can get some idea of the numbers expected and let the pub know. The Pub has a good menu, which is available online.
There will be an event log to sign, plus materials for building caches.. What's more this has now been approved as a Maker Magic event and anybody that attends will get the special Maker Magic Souvenir.
