     Maker Magic events have been created to share knowledge, and inspire others to create wonderful new geocaches. This event will highlight key areas in cache creation.

 

Topics for discussion.

 What does and doesn't make a good urban cache. 

 Good and bad locations for urban caches.

 Why have you brought the geocacher to this location?

 Where can you place a rural cache? Do you have permission?

Resources to help you with permissions and where you can find them.

The role of the GAGB ( Geocaching Association of Great Britain) 

What are the geocache radius rules?

What are the different types of geocache? Will you have to place a multi instead of a traditioal?

Getting a good set of coordinates is necessary to help fellow players find your cache.

The responsibilities of a cache owner. Remember you will have to maintain your cache.

Create your own cache.

You will have the opportunity to create your own cache either an urban hide or a rural hide or if there's time both!

Everything needed will be provided by the event host.

What makes a good container? Remember it will be outdoors in all sesons and all weathers and nobody likes a soggy log!

When all that's done it's over to the reviewer.

Reviewer

Inform your reviewer as much as possible about your cache, the container, the hide and any permissions you have if it's on private land.

Once published you are now the proud owner of a geocacher.

     New and Seasoned geocachers alike are welcome to come along, share their knowledge and stories about geocaching, and make a cache ot two.
