International Day for Monuments and Sites
April 18th is annually observed as the International Day for Monuments and Sites (IDMS). It aims to bring global attention to the need to conserve monuments and sites as our cultural heritage and to “celebrate the diversity of this heritage”.
Meet between 10am and 10.30am at Martyr's Memorial, at the top of Ruckles Field. Please be aware that access to this location is not wheelchair friendly and may be quite muddy depending on recent weather. There is a bench here for those of us who need a rest after the walk up the hill. The scenic view up here is rather magnificent though, I've always loved this view.
