1st April - Trail Trimming
The session is set for 3 hours, but only I have to stay till the end :) Please do feel free to pop along and only stay for as long as you want, any and all help makes a real difference to what we can achieve.
Parking: Off road parking is available at the parking waypoint. Please note that this is NOT the main Robinswood Hill car park. This is also NOT the Fox and Elms pub :)
Where: We will meet at the parking coordinates 09:30 we will then collect tools and make our way to the trail that we will be trimming today. For anyone arriving later in the morning please head for the coords, which will be updated following the previous CITOs.
What: We will be keeping the waymarked trails open by trimming back encroaching scrub and bramble as well as removing low hanging branches. Stout boots will be needed and gloves!
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have them shears and loppers. Don't worry if you don't have tools as the Ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please do bring a drink as it can be thirsty work, especially after all that up hill!
