One of the best things about geocaching is the great friends, or mates, you make from all around the world. The 8th May has therefore been declared as GeoMay8 Day! This idea was instigated by our friend Bruce (Calypso62) in Australia.
The Event
This is a simple meet and greet, in a pub "The Joiner's Arms", that serves drinks only.
Once we are there, we will post an announcement here to state exactly where we are in the pub. It is not very big so should not be too difficult spotting us. You are responsible for ordering and paying for your own drinks, unless otherwise arranged with your mates.
There'll be a draw to determine FTF, drawn randomly at 18:00 ish, so don't forget to write out a ticket. (One ticket per caching team).
Geomates Events are so far booked to take place in Sydney, Delft, Seattle, Hobart, Concord, Fukoaka, Ohio, and at least two in Poland. Truly a global event.
Please log a 'will attend' if you intend on coming so we know how much space will need reserving. Cheers, mate!
