Nikoski and the Bee often hold events when we are away to get to meet local cachers. Well, why limit meeting up until then. So, given I have a bit more time (for now at least) I am going to bring the holiday spirit to the working week, and hold some events where we can all meet up, swap stories, trackables and generally have a good time. It will be nice to see old friends and new cachers alike.
So to start, let us celebrate my mate Jez's birthday. None of you know Jez, as he emigrated to Australia 15 years ago, is not a cacher, and has never, to my knowledge, even been to Suffolk. But I am sure you will all join me in raising a cup of coffee to a good friend. Oh, and apparently, some old playwright from olden times might have been born and died on this day. Anyway, it just happened to be a Thursday that Bee and I could both make, which is as good a reason as any.
I will bring a pot for reasonable sized trackables.
I plan on holding events monthly, but have not yet decided whether to stick to a single location and time, or shake it up a bit. This first event is a throwback to the last few Christmases in Stowmarket, where we have held an event here with great success. As this is not a Saturday morning, I don't expect it to be busy. If it is a nice day, I will probably sit outside and await you, but otherwise, will go upstairs, where there is a sun terrace which is now open for the season.
