Join us as we tidy and sort the farm yard! Many hands will really help with this task as we try to tidy, sort, recycle and generally organise fencing materials ready for reuse. We will be burning and habitat stacking any items non-recycleable so please wear old clothes you don't mind smelling smoky or potential getting embers on.
This CITO event is set to last for 3 hours and some attendees like to stay for the entire session, however this is not an obligation.
Please feel free to turn up whenever is convenient and just stay as long as you wish - any extra help makes a real difference!
Parking: Is in the main Robinswood Hill car park, (see parking waypoint). This is a free car park and has no time limit - as long as you leave before it closes!
Where: Meet up at the Ranger Station for 09:30, where we will collect tools and make our way to the work site. Or if arriving later, please look for an update on the cache page for our exact location.
What: We will be sorting (moving and removing old nails) fencing materials and stacking for reuse, moving habitat logs and generally tidying. We will also be having a bonfire to burn any scraps not suitable for habitats or recycling.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own work gloves and wear old clothes. Don't worry if you don't have tools as the Ranger will have a supply too.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
You may like to bring a drink and snack for breaktime. Homemade cake will be provided 😁
