Lazy smurf is again too late. He oversleps and misses the start of the race in which all his friends are participating. The race organizer takes pity on him and allows him to start a day later.
The Smurfs were created as comic characters by Belgian artist Peyo in 1958 and subsequently spread worldwide. You probably grew up with the Smurfs too. Whether from the comics, the films, or as plastic figures from chocolate eggs with surprise inside, everyone knows the blue Smurfs.
Unfortunately, there isn't a Smurf monument in Dublin, so we'll meet at the Meeting Place sculpture within sight of the Ha'penny Bridge. The bridge was decorated with blue flowers and little Smurfs in June 2013 to celebrate World Smurf Day. This also was used as promotion for the film 'The Smurfs 2'.

This event also offers you the opportunity to participate in the big TB race "Smurf Mania - The Blue Race".
If you would like to participate in the race with your own TB, please observe the rules, which are listed in detail in the TB "Race Management". Race participants should place their TBs directly in the starting box at the event and log it in online.
If you have any questions about the event and/or the race, feel free to contact us or Schuhschnabel, the organizer of the TB race, directly via the GC Message Center. He will try to answer all questions as quickly as possible.
Of course, there will also be an opportunity to exchange trackables and geocoins that aren't participating in the race. Unfortunately, we can't transport oversized trackables, but you're welcome to arrange for them to be transported by someone else after prior consultation.
All geocachers, whether seasoned veterans or newcomers, are warmly welcome at this event! Participation in the race is of course entirely voluntary.
