Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords. This is free parking for the nature reserve.
Where: Meet in the car park at 1 pm or find us at the coords after that. If arriving after start time please let us know in advance or bring your own dibber - thank you!
What: Join us planting out plug plants donated by the flourishing floodplains project and grown using seeds harvested from the reserve. The session will just last as long as it takes for us to plant all of the plants - many hands make a difference here! The site is lovely for a walkabout afterwards too.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have them tools, so if you have trowel or small spade or dibber please do bring them along! Don't worry if you don't have them as the ranger will have a supply too.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work!
Please do drop by if you have any time to spare, your help is invaluable. See you there!
