Chesham Community Orchard #5
Date: MONDAY 27th April 2026 - please note this is a different day of the week to the usual sessions with CEG.
Time: 10am to 12pm
Tasks: Sustainable Chesham have asked Chesham Environmental Group (CEG) and additional volunteers to participate in a variety of activities at Chesham's Community Orchard in Lowndes Park. The tasks all depends on the amount of volunteers we have, the skillset of the volunteers and also what is required on the day.. The tasks will include:
- Tree removal
- Re-staking
- Adjusting tags
- Scything paths through the orchard
- Pruning
- Litter picking around the park
Tools are available, but you may want to bring your own. Litter pickers and bin bags will be provided. Please wear appropriate clothing, footwear and gloves. Meet at 10am at the entrance to Chesham Bowling Club (see the reference point in the waypoints).
Please aim to arrive as close to 10am for delegation of tasks for the session as some of us may be spread out across the far corners of the park litter picking. whilst others may be at the orchard trimming trees, etc. If you think you'll arrive late, please do let me know, and do head for the headline coordinates to seek out the tasks for the session. It is also important to sign in on the Chesham Environmental Group's register so you are covered by their insurance. My personal logbook will be available at the start and the end of the session at the reference point.
