There once was a hiker with thrills,
Who hunted for caches on hills,
With a map and a grin,
Found treasures in tin,
And logged them while dodging the chills.
Tonight is KT163 back out on its spree,
By the Peak District’s edge you will be,
’Twixt Chapel-en-le-Frith,
Whaley Bridge just forthwith,
From six till eight—join the pub merrily.
A private space waits there inside,
Come find us when you arrive,
Food, drink if you please,
Or none—just at ease,
Then a group walk at eight if you’d stride.
At my events, everyone’s welcome to be,
KT’s not just one clique, you see,
Not regulars tied,
But new faces each side,
As we move round each locality.
If you’ve never been to one, come say hello,
Meet different folk wherever we go,
If it’s your first attend,
Log “Will Attend” to send,
So we’ll spot you and join in the show.
Why’s this event all written in rhyme?
It’s National Limerick Day this time,
That’s our theme for the night,
So it felt only right,
To make every detail align.
Cross fingers for sun shining bright,
So we all can have fun through the night,
Mark the date, don’t forget,
It’s one you won’t regret,
Pop it down in your diary tight.
