Join Us for CITO 2026 - Season 1!
To celebrate the start of CITO 2026 Season 1, we invite you to join us on Saturday, 18 April 2026 for a rewarding community clean‑up event. Come along, help improve the local area, and earn your CITO Season 1 souvenir.
About CITO 2026 Season 1
Season dates: 1 March – 31 May 2026
Each player can earn one souvenir per season, but you are welcome to attend or host as many CITO events as you like throughout the year.
What Is a CITO Event?
Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is a global environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community.
During CITO events, geocachers gather to clean, restore, or improve natural and urban spaces.
This event is part of the worldwide Season 1 efforts taking place throughout spring.
Why This Location Matters
Wiltshire Road is a busy route used daily by families heading to school, work, and the nearby bus stop.
Unfortunately, it is also a frequent fly‑tipping spot, making it difficult to keep the area clean.
As someone directly affected by this, I’m inviting the geocaching community to help restore and maintain this space.
Most of the litter is general waste, and the area has no water hazards, making it suitable for children to participate safely.
Since our last visit, the area has undergone significant clearing work, with bushes, small trees, and thorny brambles removed. As a result, access around the footbridge is now much easier, and more litter that was previously hidden is now reachable for collection.
