Velký požár Říma
Po celodenním setkání národů je čas na trochu klidného rozjímání za tepla. Sejdeme se kolem ohně přímo za místem konání megaeventu a společně si připomeneme jednu z nejslavnějších tragických událostí římských dějin, jímž byl velký požár Říma. Zavzpomínáme taktéž na císaře Nera, jehož jméno je s tímto velkým požárem neodmyslitelně spjato a možná se při pohledu do plamenů společně zamyslíme, zda některé ze slavných římských staveb skutečně vždycky dopadly dle představ svých architektů, nebo třeba vzpomeneme na to, co jsme my sami vypálili. Oheň bude hořet, vzpomínky budou žhnout a kdo ví, co všechno ještě během pozdního odpoledne lehce zavoní kouřem...

After a full day of the Gathering of Nations, it’s time for a little quiet reflection by the warmth of the fire. We’ll gather round the fire just behind the venue of this mega-event and together commemorate one of the most famous tragic events in Roman history: the Great Fire of Rome. We’ll also remember Emperor Nero, whose name is inextricably linked with this great fire, and perhaps, as we gaze into the flames, we’ll reflect together on whether some of Rome’s famous buildings really always turned out as their architects had envisaged, or perhaps we’ll recall what we ourselves have burnt. The fire will burn, memories will glow, and who knows what else might carry a faint scent of smoke as the late afternoon draws in…
