Geocache Description:

Find an ACTIVELY BURNING, GAS eternal flame. Logs will be deleted if the guidelines are not followed. Thank you. Happy caching.

Locationless cache coordinates will bring you to my sample Eternal Flame, but do not use.

Eternal flames are a way of remembering someone special, a specific event or a group of brave and noble people.

My example is located in Forest Park, in Springfield, Massachusetts. It memorializes our 35th president, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Burning natural gas, this flame never goes out. It is a cement base with a tower that rises about 6 feet to the flame. It is encircled with small bushes with larger, taller ones framing the backdrop.

Another one; AN ETERNAL FLAME FOR A FALLEN PRESIDENT:

Your quest is to find an ACTIVELY BURNING eternal flame. Flames that have been allowed to be extinquished are not valid. Describe the specific person, place, or event that it memorializes. Eternal Flames that have been used before for this cache are not eligible to be used again. Please either search the entries to make sure that your flame hasn't already been used or to make things easier, email me with the name of the city your flame is in and I will check it for you. Lately most of the flames submitted are duplicates. THEY WILL BE DELETED. I DO CHECK!
