Star Wars on Earth
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
I am a huge Star Wars fan, and I wanted to find a way of bring Star Wars together with Geocaching... and this is what I came up with, something that the entire world can do!
The challenge of this locationless cache is to find something that physically exists here on earth, that has a relation to the Star Wars universe. It could be a street sign "Death Star Road", or a sign for "Welcome to Tatooine." Perhaps a tombstone with the unfortunate name of a star wars character. Maybe it's a tree that is shaped remarkably like Sy Snootles, or a famous sculpture that looks like Jabba the Hutt! Heck knows what is out there, have fun with this one! Just remember the guidelines from Geocaching.com, in order for a locationless cache to count, someone else must be able to enter your coordinates and visit the "cache".
To get credit for this locationless cache you must:
- Post a picture of you holding your GPS with/near that object.
- Your log must contain a description of what you found, its relavence to the Star Wars universe, and the coordinates to it so that other Star Wars fans can visit it as well.
- Only one logged item per team.
- Log each item only once.
- Please, "Star Tours" and similar obvious rides are off limits.
I will review each log, and I reserve the right to remove logs that are "out of scope" or seem to be a little to "out there" even for the Star Wars universe.
Good luck fellow Geocachers. And remember, the force will be with you, always.
