Geocache Description:

Bass Brook Wildlife Management Area, Portage Park Ski Trails.

The Dam: Pokegama. The River: Mississippi. The Cache: Our First Multi. The are several ways to approach this one. In the Summer when the gates are unlocked on the dam, park at the Pokegama Dam Recreation Area just off Highway 2 at N 47 15.056 W93 35.205. During the rest of the year when the gates are locked, recommended parking is at: N 47 14.665 W 93 35.901. Parking at the recreation area will put you closer to the first stage. This is a beautiful area along the Mississippi, so be sure to enjoy. Fishing is popular along here at times but often you will have the trails to yourself. The trails will take you every where you need to go so please follow them. Cache container is large enough to fit cds and smaller items. If you want to make this one more challenging save the clue for the last resort. Clue is for the first container only. The first container contains the last three digits of both coordinates. The first four digits are the same for both locations.
