Geocache Description:

Valley Park is the largest City of Mendota Heights Park, at 94.4 acres. It has a natural area, paved and dirt trails, a softball field, soccer fields, tennis courts, a basketball hoop, play equipment, and a picnic shelter. I had driven past on the freeway on my way to work, and finally decided to come down and check it out, and found some cache locations, one of which I'm going to use.

Not too far from the paved trail through the park. Remember, the most direct way isn't usually the easiest--there are plenty of game trails in the area. The parking lot with all the amenities is located at N 44°53.476, W 093°07.647. Cache is in a camoflage painted ammo can.

Please note: Park officials do read the cache logs, so please be sure to stay on the trail to get as close to the cache as possible, etc. Also note anything positive you do in the area i.e. cached and trashed, and note how you enjoyed the park. Thank You.

I've checked the coordinates a few times based on the logs--sometimes my GPS brings me right to the cache, and 5 minutes later, it shows me at 50 feet away, and other times, it'll show me at 50 feet away when I get there, and 5 minutes later, it'll be right on. All I can figure is that there is quite a bit of signal bounce in the area due to the high-tension wires overhead, the freeway nearby, etc.
