Geocache Description:

Cache placed in honor of ZINNWARE'S joining the CENTURY CLUB (100+ caches found).

PLEASE DO NOT SEEK THE CACHE FOR THE 2 WEEKS BEGINNING THE SATURDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING!!! THE BEAR BRANCH TRAILS WILL BE CLOSED DURING THAT TIME FOR FIREARM DEER SEASON!!! FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, PLEASE OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS!!!

Above coordinates are for parking. Trailhead is south of the nature center. (Please park at Lake Hashawha or Bear Branch Nature Center lots. Do NOT enter through the Hashawha gates unless you have a group reservation - Hashawha Residential Camp is closed to the public). That part of the facility is rented as a 'retreat' - please respect the privacy & security offered to those groups by NOT driving past the stone pillars & gate OR walking into the 'NO ENTRY' areas from the trails.

At N39 39.073 W76 59.342, you will meet some of the 'residents' - using the 2 digit number on the brown information board, plug into the following to determine final cache coordinates:

Cache is located 50' off a defined & marked trail at the BEAR BRANCH Nature Center, Carroll County, MD. Trails open from sunrise to sunset. Bear Branch Nature Center hours: Wed-Sat 10-5 pm/Sun 12-5 pm. Bear Branch Nature Center is free of charge. It is located JUST outside the gates of Hashawha Environmental Center. The Nature Center features a Library Resource Room, a Bird Observation Room, a Discovery Room, an Exhibit Hall, an Auditorium, a 40-seat Planetarium, & a Gift Shop. No reservations are required.

There are 340 acres rich in habitat & wildlife diversity. Please stay on designated trails to prevent overuse in sensitive areas. Dogs must be on a leash. Please familiarize yourself with the 'rules of the trails' to ensure a pleasurable experience for all. Check bulletin boards for special area regulations & helpful information.
