Geocache Description:

Come and join us on May 17, 2003 in Olney, Illinois for the First Annual Geocaching Picnic held by the Little Egypt Geocaching Society (L.E.G.S.)


Schedule of Events

10:00 AM Welcome! Bring your GPS, compass, and maybe a spare if you have one to help with the Junior events.
Site opens for getting acquainted with local geocachers, trading signature items (if desired), and whatever else. Bulls-eye cache on arrival.

10:00 AM - 11:30 AM Junior Caching! (under 15 years of age)
Find the micro-cache! One adult accompanies no more than 2 children. Adult may enter the coordinates into the GPS, and assist minimally in locating the cache. Prizes for each cache!

Noon Carry-in lunch!
Bring food, drink, plates and utensils for your group. If you feel generous and want to share your favorite dish or desert, it won’t offend anyone.

1:00 PM Group Photo!

1:30 PM – 4:30 PM Geocaching Events!
Team event: 2 to 6 members to team, handicap awarded if accompanied by a junior cacher by age group. Top 3 Prizes!

Micro-caching for prizes! Individuals or groups locate micro-caches for prizes.

Compass Challenge! Follow compass headings to locate micro-caches for prizes.

4:30 PM Trash Out!
Cleanup picnic site and surrounding area! Thanks for coming to our first LEGS event. All donations received will go to The American Cancer Society, Relay For Life that will be held starting at 6:00 PM, same location.
