Cannop Pond is a popular place to visit in the centre of the Forest of Dean. It is an attractive series of lakes with ducks, birds and shallow streams for children to play. On a warm day it is a delightful place to cool down, complimented by ice creams! You can park at co-ordinates: N51°47.621', W02°34.018'. There are no other facilities at this car park. An Ordnance Survey map for this location is shown at this web site.
If you want other facilities then try Beechenhurst which is just over the road at N51°48.308', W02°33.633'. An Ordnance Survey map for this location is shown at this web site. The full sculpture trail is around 3.5 miles of Forest walking, which we can highly recommend. Parking at Beechenhurst costs £2 but the playground, toilets and BBQs are free.
