Geocache Description:

Welcome to Comet Finke,  a comet worth looking for.

This cache is part of TeamAstro’s journey through the Solar System. Other Solar System caches have been progressively released across South Australia, and Australia.  The scale of TeamAstro's Solar System has been carefully calculated to reflect the distances between the planets and other Solar System objects.  Your own geocaching tour of the Solar System will take you on an astronomical journey throughout South Australia and beyond.

Comet Finke is a traditional cache.  Get more hints about the location by reading the INFOSHEET to give you specific directions at the link below.

Please note that this cache should only be accessed by those well set up with a 4WD.  The area is remote and rarely visited.  A satellite phone or HF radio should be part of your set up.  The track to access this cache is extremely sandy, with plenty of tyre hungry objects.  If these don’t get you, the more than 300 sand hills will test your sand driving and fuel consumption.
