Cache sited along the side of this hill. Not really suitable for pushchairs etc. Some tree cover in the cache area.
Suggested parking: N 51.41.552 W 002.20.298.
As this is my first cache hide, I decided on a location I enjoyed as a child. Many hours of fun was had along this hill and on the peak. The view from the top of the peak is really superb, so whatever you do here today make sure you visit the top. Places visable from the top are: Smallpox Hill, Nibley Monument, The River Severn, May Hill and a power station to mention just a few.
If you have time bring along some large sheets of cardboard. Then after you have done the cache, nip back to the car and take the cardboard to the top of the peak. Now what are you going to do?? You are going to sit on the card and slide down the car park side of the peak!! Fantastic fun, although I may well feel a little sore afterwards nowadays :-)) (age 47). Please make sure you take any litter home afterwards though.
The cache has been placed close to where, as I recall, the 'Butt' (target) end of an old rifle range was. This must have been very many years ago though, as all I can remember, as a child was picking out the bullets from the bank.
The original contents of this 'ammo box' cache are:
Alice in Wonderland PCCD.
Stabilo 'Write All' pen and plant tags.
World Wildlife 'Cyber Tiger' PCCD.
