Smiley-panier Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Shawn&Holly: Property has changed hands and I guess the owners wanted a view from the house instead of walking out to the little lookout. Time to archive this one and might plan another one here in the future.

Geocache Description:

A short walk on the beach.

This cache is along the beach in Mcleods. Access this cache from the beach only as the shore is private property. Park at the old alantic broom factory (building long gone) at the following coords N48 01.280 W66 33.650 and walk straight down to the beach. There is a private property on the pole at the head of the road, this is for the road to the right only, the beach access is public. Once on the beach, follow your GPS to the cache, there is a short easy climb to the cache, but you must go when the water is down. It is a great view from the cache. There is a trail leading back to the road right beside the cache, but this now leads to a house and is private property, please return by the beach access. You can drive right to the beach, but the shore is sandy and loose and the road is washed so 4x4 only (I have a 4x4 and would not go on the beach) and not any good place to park. Do not park in any of the driveways as this is their only access to there properties and they get quite upset when a car is found. The walk to the beach is short and easy with just a short climb at the end. Enjoy the sights. We left a Canadian Geocoin to start out in the cache Geocoin 0783

There is a theme started with this cache but you do not have to adhere to the theme if you do not have anything smiley, cache is not that big, please hide it from view when you leave.

Note: May be difficult to find in the winter and from a logs, during high tide. Please use extreme caution if looking while there is ice on the water!!!
