in our disclaimer.
A memorial to a WW1 soldier and poet serves as the target for an enlightening visit to an old growth forest. The trail is dirt with some easy elevation changes and can be done in different length hikes (minimum 3/4 mile).
This is a virtual cache due to the natural sensitivity of this area of undisturbed forest. Man's impact has been minimal and usage restrictions keep it this way. Enjoy a walk in a primeval forest and see what the land was like before we arrived. The answers can be found with a short hike of about 3/4 mile, but you may want to take the "full tour" of about 2 miles to see trees that are 400 years old and 20 feet around. They are just a short distance beyond the cache site.
The answer to the questions should be e-mailed for credit on this one. Nothing should be left and nothing should be taken, dead or alive. If you see anything man has left behind, please cache in and trash out!
More information about this area can be found at: (visit link)
The answers to the questions will be found in two locations.
The first location is the parking area at N35 21.536, W083 55.714.
The second location is a marker located at the coordinates listed at the top.
The questions are:
1. What is the name of the group that INITIATED the memorial?
2. What city was this group from?
Enjoy the hunt and most importantly, enjoy our world.
