The Shorewood Pez Cache

How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This cache was originally placed by Pezzer in 2003. It was a plastic container with a yellow lid hidden in the hollow trunk of a dead tree. Pezzer had only found four geoaches in July of 2003 before he placed this one. There weren't as many around that that time.
The tree finally fell apart in 2017. Now there is a paved bike path nearby and the area gets a lot more traffic than it used to. In order to keep this hide going, I've place a micro and I'll tell you exactly where to find it. It's a camouflaged bison tube and it's attached to the big metal post next to the gate, just a few inches above the ground.
When I have a chance, I'll post a picture of the original hide and write a little more of the history. I some point I might hide another container that's big enough to hold Pez dispensers, assuming I can figure out a way to hide it nearby so it won't get muggled.
