When you are pulling into the parking area, look for at the largest tree at the back of the parking lot. Look up 20-25 feet to the large knot in the trunk. Usually, as you pull in to the parking area, a giant owl will fly out of the knot.
Enjoy the Rice Beds. The Apple River flows through this public land and people do actually collect wild rice....which tastes awesome by the way.
There is a large incline at the end of the hunt so please be careful. Enjoy
