Om de cache te vinden zul je eerst op drie punten een aanwijzing
moeten vinden. De aanwijzingen zijn op zich niet moeilijk te
vinden. Volg je de aanwijzingen op volgorde, dan zul je een leuk
wandelingetje hebben door het bos. De cache is te vinden binnen 60
a 90 minuten. Maar sneller kan ook. Kasteel Vosbergen is prive
eigendom en de toegang is verboden maar je hoeft daar ook niet te
zijn.
Parkeren kan op vele plaatsen. Wanneer je parkeert op N52°23.666'
E06°02.711' kun je de route starten op N52°23.746' E06°02.895'
Aanwijzing 1 is te vinden op N52°23.850' E06°03.277'
Op ooghoogte, op een boom, bevindt zich een datum in het formaat
ab-cd-ef, nog niet zo lang geleden. De afstand tot de cache vanaf
hier is ab*fd+d meter.
Aanwijzing 2 is te vinden op N52°23.760' E06°03.492'
Ook hier vind je weer een aanwijzing op een boom. Zoek een datum
met initialen in de volgende vorm:

De datum is al een heel poosje terug. Voor de initialen (&,%,#
en $) geldt het volgende a=1, b=2, c=3 etc.
De afstand vanaf hier tot de cache is ((eeuwen + jaren)/(# + $)) *
&% - & + eeuwen.
Aanwijzing 3 is te vinden bij de toegangsbrug naar kasteel
Vosbergen. Aan de rechterzijde van de brug hangen de twee
huisnummers. Behalve de deze bordjes hangt er nog een blauw bord.
Daarop staat een getal hetgeen ook de afstand is tot de cache
wanneer je op het kruispunt voor de brug staat.
Achtergrond:
Kasteel Vosbergen is op het oog niet zoveel bijzonders. In zijn
huidige staat bestaat het kasteel sinds 1623 en is gebouwd door het
adellijk geslacht Krijt, destijds bestuurders van de Hanzestad
Deventer. Vosbergen werd ook wel Huis Krijt genoemd. Wat het
kasteel zo bijzonder maakt is dat het sinds die tijd niet meer echt
gewijzigd is. Behalve de ramen welke niet allemaal in originele
staat zijn; een wijziging van 1725. De houten ramen met de kleine
ruitjes zijn de "foute" ramen. In de jaren 70 zijn er restauraties
geweest die de "goede" originele ramen weer hebben teruggebracht
tot de situatie van voor 1725. Helaas is de restauratie nog niet
af. Ook de tuin is niet veranderd; was het mode in de 19e eeuw om
een Engelse landschapstuin te hebben, zo niet hier. Wat ook
bijzonder is, is dat het huis al bijna 300 jaar in het bezit is van
de familie van Dedem. Ook nu nog want kasteel Vosbergen is
privé-bezit.
De omgeving Epe en Heerde worden gekenmerkt door de sprengen. Dit
zijn plekken waar het grondwater naar bovenkomt en via een gegraven
bekenstelsel wordt afgevoerd. In deze beken werden vaak molens
geplaatst voor de aandrijving van de machines. Zo kwamen er in de
omgeving veel papiermolens en later ook wasserijen voor. De spreng
die over het landgoed Vosbergen loopt is ook voor die doeleinden
gebruikt. Dit is de Heerderbeek. Tegenwoordig worden de beken, na
een tijd van verval, weer in ere hersteld. Het water is erg schoon;
zo schoon dat het aquarium van het Ecodrome in Zwolle is gevuld met
water uit deze beek. De sprengen op de Veluwe zijn uniek in Europa.

To find the cache you will have to find three hints. These are not
hard to find. If you find the hints in the listed order, you will
be able to enjoy a nice walk through the forest. You can find the

trespassing is neither allowed nor necessary.

On eye-height you will find a date carved in a tree in the format
ab-cd-ef, not so long ago. The distance to the cache from this
point is ab*fd+d meter.

The date is from a reasonable time back. For each initial
(&,%,# en $) the following rule applies: a=1, b=2, c=3 etc.
The distance to the cache from here is ((centuries + years)/(# +
$)) * &% - & + centuries.
Hint three 3 can be found on the bridge to the castle of Vosbergen.
On the right-hand side of the bridge you will not only find the
house numbers but a blue sign as well. The number on that sign is
the distance to the cache, standing on the crossing in front of
that bridge.
Background:
The castle of Vosbergen on itself is nothing special. As it is now
the castle exists since 1623 and is built by the noble family
Krijt, who were governors of Hanzestad Deventer. Vosbergen was also
called House of Krijt. The specialty of this castle is that it has
not changed over time. Except for the windows which are not all in
the original state. These windows have been changed in 1725. The
wooden windows with the small glasses are the "wrong" windows. In
the seventies some windows have been restored to the originals,
which are stone; the situation before 1725. It is a pity that the
restorations have never been finished. The gardens have not changed
either. Many other castle gardens changed to English Gardens in the
19th century; not here. Also exceptional is that the castle is
still possession of the Van Dedem family who own the castle for
almost 300 years now. And still do since it is private
property.
The surroundings of Epe en Heerde are distinguished by brooks which
originate from wells. These are places where groundwater wells up
and the water flows through a system of brooks. Many mills were
founded along these brooks e.g. papermills and laundries. In Dutch
these brooks are called "sprengen". The brook that floods over
Vosbergen is also used for those purposes. This is the
Heerderbrook. After times of decay the brooks are restored to their
old state. The water is very clean; the water for the aquarium in
the Ecodrome in Zwolle is filled with water from this brook. These
brooks are unique for the Veluwe and only occur on the Veluwe. You
