Cache holds usual starting contents and a log
book for your visit. Enjoy the area.......... The road
leading in looks like someone's driveway just keep going and
you will pass some gravel pits, go up and down a few hills,
around some corners and you will eventually come to the end
of the road. PLEASE GO SLOW!!!!
(That is why all the homemade speed bumps are
there....)
Located out on the River
Road in Brunswick, is a relatively unknown fishing park / canoe
portage (look for the sign that reads "Pejepscot Fishing
Park").
It is an unknown area to most and is a fun area to
explore. Please respect the posted speed limit and do not stray off
the road until you reach the river. Both sides of the road
are private property and has "No Trespassing signs posted".
Once at the end of the road you'll find parking and signs directing
you to the canoe portage.
Across the river is what used to be the Pejepscot
Paper Mill it is now a recycling business called “Grimmel
Industries”.
The river provides GREAT small mouth bass fishing and
if you have the means, a float trip down river is worth the
trip. We hope you enjoy the area.
