Geocache Description:

West Essex Trail, Verona/Cedar Grove, NJ

To find this cache you will follow clues along and in the general area of this 3.3 mile trail. Prepare to cover more than 7 miles. Fortunately, this is a designated a bicycle trail. The trail is situated on the former right-of-way of the Caldwell Branch of the old Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. Though the trail is used presently by walkers and bicyclists, fiscal restraints have postponed implementation of the County's final grading and landscaping plans.

Go to the above listed coordinates, walking the trail in northernly direction, on the slope to your left, you will see a large rock (approx 10 feet across at it’s apex, pictured below) that is split into 3 sections. This is about 40 steps from the Green Acres sign. In between the sections, you will find a camo-ed screw-top containing one full and 7 partial coordinates. Use them with the corresponding clues listed below and work your way to the cache:

The cache is in plain view but can be easily overlooked. No unsupervised kids on this one. Email a pic of the log sheet to verify your find. Good luck, you’re gonna need it.
