A couple of mile walk in the country along forestry tracks. Probably about 300 vertical feet from the car park.
A nice journey out into the country to take in some of the best views on the Island. The track to the cache can be easy or difficult depending on your approach.
From the East its pretty easy. A very nice forestry path with great open views leads you up towards the cache.
If you approach from the West (as I did) then bring your waiders as the track is VERY marshy.
If you approached the cache from the east then I'd reccommend that you continue along the path. It winds up the side of the hill for about another mile showing views of the Island that you may not have seen before.
The cache is located on the hill side of the path in a large fissure in in a rock. I marked the entrance with a stick. And if you stand on the cut stump it will make it easier to find.
The cache has a nice little christmas treat in it :)
