Geocache Description:

This cache is located in central Helsinki. A calculator is almost as important as GPSr.

At starting coordinates you can admire the facade of famous Finlandia Hall Opinions vary, but generally it's considered a masterpiece of the Finnish architecture.

From stairs proceed to the northwestern corner of the building roughly at coordinates N 60°10,575' E 24°55,957'. Here you find a window protected by metal bars. Let the number of vertical bars be A. All verticals are connected by two horizontal bars.

Go to
N 60°(9 + 0,116133*A)'
E 24°(55 + 0,084000*A)'

Here used to be a place which had some resemblance to a Hitchcock movie (The Birds). Actually a small pier with bird reliefs. Seekers had to count the number of birds. Those days are gone, pier removed and joggers taken over the area from bird-feeders. Now you need to count the number of round stand-alone poles, which joggers use as "steppers". Their number is B.

Now go to
N 60°(9 + 0,108875*B)'
E 24°(55 + 0,053250*B)'

Here you'll find a plaque with an important message. Read the message if you wish, but for this cache you only need the date in form
Let C=dd, D=mm and E=yyyy

The cache is hidden at

N 60°xx,ppp'
E 24°yy,qqq'

where xx=C-2, ppp=(E/6)-33, yy=(6*D)+1, qqq=E-(B*C*D)/2-92

Cache is a normal lunch box. It shouldn't be too difficult to find, but watch where you put your hand. The box is a ½ litre Tupperware.

Actually this cache should be called Töölönlahti 2. The first cache in the area was Töölönlahti Bay, Helsinki As far as I know, it was also the first time when geocaching got substancial publicity in a major newspaper in Finland.
