This cache has been archived.

=^..^=: This cache has been around for 15 years, the location has been around for a lot longer and that really is what I wanted people to find.

When I started placing geocaches there were only a couple of the Island - and generally they were in walls or similar in Douglas.

I spread caches out across the island - for instance the injerbreck triangle caches present incredible vistas of the island - and generally I doubt anyone would go there unless I'd put a cache there.

But I can't commit to a maintenance schedule that wasn't there 15 years ago when I placed the cache.

So I'm shutting all the caches down.

I'm going to archive them and let Geocaching shut them down permanently.

Geocache Description:

A hike up past the wheel and towards the Upper Laxey mines. Cache is located 500 vertical feet higher than the Laxey Wheel so its a bit of a haul up there !

A nice walk up towards the upper mines. The track is quite washed out in places but still easily passable. The day I placed the cache there was a bitter wind whistling down the valley.

The cache is located alongside a waterfall which in summer is barely a trickle, but in November is quite impressive (for the Isle of Man)

Although you can climb higher than the cache the rocks get quite slippy higher up - after I placed the cache I headed up towards the top for a better view of the valley. Unfortunately cycling shoes and wet rock don't mix and I nearly came down a lot faster than I went up :)

The cache is a small supperware box containing a stem plug for a mountain bike and a friction drive motorbike.

Removed second set of co-ords - the ones at the top of the page have been confirmed as the correct ones.
