This cache has been archived.

WindChill: This one has had a good run (6 years to the day, how strange is that), I think it is time to say good night Gracie. Thanks to everyone who found the cache.

Geocache Description:

This location provides a great view of the lake, enjoy it.

This cache is in the Macbride Nature Area and has been approved by the U of I Recreational Services folks who manage the area.

The cache was originally right out on the point offering a nice view of the lake, especially at sunset. It has since been moved inland a bit, but it is still worth stepping out of the trees to check out the view.

You can get to the cache through the BlueStem area, but I prefer to come through the pine forest from the Fox campsites. Both ways are similar distance and similar terrain.

The park has an automatic gate that will let you out but not in when the park is closed. The posted hours are:
April 1 - October 31, 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. daily
November 1 - March 31, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily
