Cachen är gömd på Kalmar gamla kyrkogård
och platsen för Kalmars gamla kyrka, Bykyrkan. Den byggdes i
mitten av 1200-talet och som inledning till mötet om
Kalmarunionen kröntes Erik av Pommern år 1397 till kung
över de tre nordiska rikena. Staden flyttades år 1647
till nuvarande Kvarnholmen men kyrkan användes till 1678.
För att förhindra att fienden besköt slottet
från kyrkan sprängdes den. Cachen är en microcache
som innehåller en loggbok och en penna.
När du ändå är i området måste
du bara ta en promenad i gamla staden och titta på de
pittoreska små trähusen.
The cache is hidden at Kalmar’s former church and
churchyard. The church was used from the 13th century until 1678
when the Swedes themselves blew it up so that the Danes would not
be able to take cover in it during the war which was then raging.
Here in 1397 Erik of Pomerania was crowned ruler (king) of all the
Nordic kingdoms. The cache is a micro cache with a logbook and a
pencil.
When you are in the neighborhood you must take a walk in the old
city and look at the picturesque small houses.
