Queen's Canyon Overlook
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This is a great area to explore wildlife and land rehabilitation.
As with "Echo Rock Canyon" you will pretty much visit this cache and then continue up the hill for another .61 miles.
Your first big hint, when the trail forks (you will see a sign "Echo Rock"), stay right - if the brush starts to close in on you, then you missed the intersection, turn around.
Please make sure to put the cache back the same way you found it
That is all you need. Once you are in the grounds follow the signs to the Bighorn Parking area. Park there and the trial head is located at the N/E corner of the parking area.
- Call ahead to Glen Eyrie to see if hiking trails are open 719-634-0808
- You will need to register at the guest house to release liability
Terrain is maintained and can be a little steep in some areas, the overall hike is 2.5 miles round trip, cache is a Logbook only, trading items is optional
Here is what you are going to see:
Then when you see this, you are getting close to the cache (see the rocks in the background, that is your destination):
